Accessibility

West Nipissing General Hospital (WNGH) is committed to providing accessible care, services, and facilities that respect the dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity of all patients, families, visitors, and members of the public, including persons with disabilities. In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and Ontario Regulation 191/11, Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), WNGH works to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility and meet the accessibility needs of the communities we serve.

WNGH maintains a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and has policies in place to support accessibility throughout the organization. Accessibility policies, the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, and information in accessible formats are available upon request.

French Language Services

As language is a factor in care quality, West Nipissing General Hospital will assure services are provided in both official languages, French and English.

WNGH has received designation under the French Language Services Act, (FLSA) demonstrating excellence in the provision of services in French and in meeting the needs of our culturally and linguistically diverse population.
