Your Place in our Environment
West Nipissing wants you to consider one of our vacancies at the West Nipissing General Hospital and Medical Clinic or the West Nipissing Community Health Centre. You will benefit from a well-organized work environment designed with your needs in mind. You will be welcomed into a turn-key operation, eliminating the inconveniences of establishing a new practice.
Our Community is eligible for The Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention (NRRR) Initiative, which offers taxable financial incentives to each eligible physician who establishes a full-time practice in an eligible community of the province. The grants range between $80,000 and $117,600 paid over a four-year period. The grants will be awarded based on eligibility criteria and considerations related to total NRRR Initiative budget allocations. For more information, visit the Ministry website by clicking here.
Shape Your Practice:
You are welcome to have your own practice in our Medical Centre to enjoy all of the benefits associated with an independent practice and will be provided with trained staff to manage all administrative functions, including billing. You will receive an agreed-upon percentage of the fee for service, and we will retain a percentage to offset administrative costs.
Emergency Department:
We encourage you to consider working in our modern Emergency Department. You can select the number of 12-hour or 24-hour shifts you are comfortable working. Remuneration is on an hourly basis, according to the Alternate Funding Agreement (AFA), with a shadow-billing component.
In-Patient Care Unit:
The WNGH is also recruiting a hospitalist to join our team. Sharing the workload with our full-time hospitalist allows you time to enjoy some of our wonderful outdoor activities and the community of West Nipissing. Spend some time with us in our beautiful community and maybe stay for a lifetime!
